Leavenworth Vacation

In May we took our little family to Leavenworth. It was an adventure for sure. I think this was the first trip we have attempting that was longer than 2 hours. The kids did great and they were so excited to stay in a HOTEL!!
I took the kids swimming, the water was cold and it was 5 feet deep everywhere so poor Nixon couldn't jump to me or I would have drowned. I had to stand on my tip toes to keep my mouth above water.
They were so good though, I was so proud of them.
Sadie loved the hotel room, I am sure I left something there because she kept putting random things in all the drawers and baskets.
There was a fabulous breakfast every morning and
The Alphorn was played every morning and it was amazing to watch!!

Jon might have played a few games of softball while we were there too:)
The Enzian hotel were we stayed had a miniature golf course across the street that we could play for free. We might have been the faster players ever!
The kids loved it, but they just hit it whenever and wherever they wanted.

Sadie even let me help her.....sometimes

Sadie wanted to pet the deer that was hanging on the wall at the restaurant.
Jon swimming with the kids!
The Alphorn

Leavenworth is located at the base of the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains, very near the geographical center of Washington State. The town's elevation is about 1,100 feet, with mountains rising 5,000-8,000 feet nearby. It was beautiful and the town is one big Bavarian Village.

Enjoying the morning in the town!!
We wore the kids out and they slept a lot of the way home:)

One story from the trip:
We had checked into the hotel and were headed back to the softball fields which were about 20 minutes away. I was pretty close when Nixon says "Mom I don't feel very good, I think I'm going to spit up." I handed him a sac and he did throw up in the car right then. Man it was nasty, too much driving and too many treats!! I made a note in my head for our next travel adventure. Poor little guy!!

Trip to Utah in May!

In May all of us went to Utah for Lillian May's Baptism. The kids had so much fun with their cousins and playing in Nana's backyard!
Nana made these masks out of hat's I made in high school, they were so funny!!
Sadie enjoyed following Wally around the yard and throwing rocks and leaves into the river.
The boys were always playing some kind of power ranger/ bad guy good guy game and every boy needs a scarf around their head to play!!
Sadie laughing and screaming at cocoa the dog!

Sadie LOVES cocoa, when the dog is around it's like the rest of us don't exist.

Lilly's baptism day!

She was so beautiful and was super excited to get baptized. She was all smiles that day and just glowed with happiness.
Tim started P.A. school was I was there, this is his FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL picture. I tried to get him to go by the tree in the front yard but he just wouldn't!!
I always take a picture of the cars Nixon takes down to Utah so we can remember to bring them all home. Nixon thought this was very interesting and wanted me to pick this one to post!
We love going to the Hogle Zoo when we are in town.
Sadie and Izabelle were so cute together. She was my biggest helper!

The elephants!

Hailey is the best poser in pictures!

Sadie said "weee" when they went up and down, it was adorable!
Nixon wanted to go again.....shocker

The famous measuring up to the gorilla.

We always hit the train ride on the way out. As a kid I swear it was more interesting than it is now, but my mother says it was just as short. Hmmmm

Filling up the bird feeders, a tradition!!

I love this pic of Sadie swinging in her pajamas

The Popsicle bench

The girls loved reading Nixon books at night, it was so cute!

Cocoa on her princess bed in the studio

Sand box time!
My cute kids enjoying some chocolate milk and a show!

We met at Granny Annie's for mother day brunch with my step mom!!

Katie was the hero and got Nixon to get his hair cut!
One of the girls took this picture of Sadie with her Pooh bears!
Hailey loves reading to people, and she is good at it too.
And the kids love it too!

We went swimming at the "old" bubble, the "new" rec center in Bountiful!
Nixon loved it and never wanted to leave. It was perfect for him!!

The slide was SO fun, and I was glad that Nixon got the courage to do it.

We went and saw Lilly sing at school. It was awesome and she did a great job!!

Enjoying some time in Nana's backyard!!

Nixon and Mac were such great friends this trip!!
