Easter Egg Hunt!!

Jon's brother and his family came into town for their Spring Break it was a little bit before Easter but we decided we better celebrate while they were here. So we did an egg hunt in the back yard at Grammy and Pompa's house.
Ready Set Go!!

I love the excitement of kids when it is their first Easter Egg Hunt. They don't know what is going on but you make them find an egg and put it in a basket. They shake it for the first time and wonder....what is that??? Then of course they open it and it's all over. Might as well just have hid one because they sit and eat that one until it is all gone.

Nixon got to have an egg hunt at preschool and when he got home he hid all his eggs again and showed me how he found them!! It was pretty cute!!

Happy Birthday Jon!!

For Jon's birthday this year I surprised him by going to the "grocery store" and really going to the airport to pick up my sister. Katie came into town to babysit my kids while we went and stayed at the CDA hotel. Jon was SO surprised when I pulled up Katie in the car, he probably didn't think it was a night away at first of course but he was thrilled when I pulled out our suitcase and we headed out. 

We had an amazing view from out room, it was gorgeous!!

We did a deal where we got a room, dinner, dessert for two and breakfast. It was so delicious!! I was stuffed for at least 24 hours after!!

Random Things and St. Patrick's Day!!

Every time we come home and go in the front door Sadie has to hug and kiss out statue bulldog. It is the funniest little thing she does, but she makes you stop and let her give it a big kiss!!!

Yes she is a cutie pie!!

Sadie has this thing she does, she puts a legwarmer on her arm and walks around. Just one though not both arms!!

One day Sadie and Nixon found Jon's basketball bag and got his jersey's out. Sadie and Nixon put them on and said "Now we are on Papa's team!"

It was the cutest thing!!

Nixon and I went to the firehouse open house and got to sit in the firetruck!!

St. Patrick's Day at Grandma's!! Sadie is being shy!

The bagpipers came again, which is my favorite part!!!

Nixon decided he had to wear his Mr. Incredible costume to Gee Gee's. I think because we go up there for Halloween it thinks we need to dress up every time we go up there.

It was a little cold in March but the sun was out and so the kids decided it was time to pull out the toys.

Slam Dunk!!

This car is the hit of our backyard. Sadie and Nixon take turns driving "to work" and back.

Sadie and Nixon love having gram crackers and milk as a snack before bed. I use to do it as a kid and now I have passed it on, it makes me smile a little every time we sit down together to eat our snack.

Nixon loves to dress up in his costumes and he decided that Sadie needed to dress up too so she wears his superman cape and they run around the house. It's adorable!!

Sadie has this thing about wearing hats. She LOVES them and comes out of her room all the time wearing one or two. She must have one on when she goes outside too, she knows so don't mess with her!!!
